𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Roupinhas Com Histórias, a non-profit marketplace, was created to support new parents by providing a platform for renting second-hand clothing and childcare products at low prices.

𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸

As the product manager, I led a three-member team through the design and development of the marketplace platform. The goal was to create a user-friendly and trustworthy platform to facilitate low-cost rental (2, 3, or 5 EUR). Given that each item will serve multiple families throughout its lifespan, the platform aimed to foster community connections and offer affordable solutions for parents. Given its non-profit nature and reliance on donations, the platform needed to build a system based on trust and community engagement.

𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

I guided the team in designing a platform based on community trust. We focused on creating a straightforward user interface that allowed parents to browse, rent, and return items with minimal effort. The design incorporated features to support the platform’s community-based model, such as clear item listings, easy rental processes, and simple return procedures.

Additionally, we included user profiles and reviews to enhance trust and ensure transparency. Throughout the development process, I worked closely with the team to ensure that the platform met the needs of both users and administrators while staying true to its non-profit mission.

The launch of the online marketplace successfully provided a valuable resource for new parents, enabling them to rent affordable second-hand clothing and childcare products. The platform’s emphasis on community trust and low rental fees fostered strong bonds among users. The platform effectively supported its non-profit model through donations and successfully facilitated the exchange of items, contributing to a more sustainable and supportive community for parents.
